Designed in collaboration with KEF’s Product Design Team, the Coda W was created to be a bookshelf speaker with a strong identity and timeless appeal. It honors the original Coda series that made high-fidelity sound accessible, while evolving into an all-in-one system that blends KEF’s acoustic excellence with intuitive control and seamless connectivity. The cabinet features a rectilinear form, enhanced by a raised baffle and control panel that add character to the product. The baffle has a three-dimensional vertical texture, giving the product an elegant and sophisticated aesthetic, while a subtly curved trim ring surrounds the 5.25” Uni-Q driver in tonal shades of grey. At the top of the baffle, an integrated badge displays the KEF logo and discreetly conceals the IR sensor for remote functionality. A polycarbonate plate with recessed capacitive domes at the top provides a highly intuitive and seamless user interface. The back is designed with the same attention to detail, maintaining a consistent design language to enhance the product experience. A gently curved back panel integrates a clean bass port and a recessed backplate with crisp graphics and a precisely arranged port layout. Coda W features a low-contrast CMF palette, with colors inspired by nature and smooth, matte surfaces. While the cabinet is available in five curated colors – Vintage Burgundy, Nickel Grey, Moss Green, Midnight Blue, and Dark Titanium – the baffle, Uni-Q driver, and back panel are consistently finished in matte black. This CMF direction ensures a sense of personality through color while preserving an elegant and sophisticated appearance. The combination of timeless aesthetic, refined CMF design, and seamless user experience gives Coda W a minimalist elegance that blends naturally into any environment.
