Andrea Ponti is a Hong Kong-based Italian designer specializing in Product and Industrial Design. His projects combine the elegance of Italian design with the lightness of Japanese minimalism. He designs for multiple global companies, including Casetify, Fender, Haier, KEF, Kodak, Monos, NetEase, Oppo, Panasonic, The Peninsula Hotels, Philips, and Samsonite among others. He has received numerous international design awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award, and the Good Design Award. A graduate of the Politecnico of Milan, Italy, Andrea Ponti lived in Japan between 2006 and 2013, working under the guidance of Japanese design masters Chiaki Murata in Osaka and Junzo Yamashita in Kyoto. In 2013, he moved to Hong Kong where he has been heading Ponti Design Studio and broadening his range of projects and services, with a focus on Product and Industrial Design.
Ponti Design Studio is a Hong Kong-based design company specializing in Product and Industrial Design, CMF Design, and Branding. Founded in 2012 by Italian designer Andrea Ponti and Japanese designer Shiori Kuroiwa, the Studio focuses on high-end products, combining technological excellence with emotional design language. Our project range includes mobility, robotics, medical devices, high-end electronics, audio equipment, watches and wearables, travel and lifestyle products, homeware, and furniture. We design for multiple global companies, SMEs, and startups from North America, Europe, and Asia. Our Studio is located in the vibrant area of Sheung Wan, close to Hong Kong’s Central financial district, and benefits from an extensive network of partnerships across Asia that allows us to oversee the entire product development process, from concept design all the way to mass production.
